2026 Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Revealed: Classic Look, Killer 650cc Engine – Fans Can’t Stay Calm

Royal Enfield has rewritten motorcycle history with the Bullet 650, a machine that blends the classic Bullet identity with modern mid-capacity performance. Revealed globally at EICMA 2025 and recently showcased in India at Motoverse 2025 in Goa, this bike marks a new chapter for one of the world’s most loved motorcycles.

A Legend Reborn

The Bullet nameplate first debuted in 1932 and has since become synonymous with rugged durability and timeless style. The new Bullet 650 stays true to that legacy, keeping its iconic silhouette and classic design cues — like the teardrop fuel tank, winged Royal Enfield badge, bench-style seat, and traditional casquette headlamp — while bringing meaningful upgrades under the surface.

Design and Styling That Honors Tradition

Visually, the Bullet 650 looks instantly familiar to fans, but with subtle modern touches. It retains the upright riding stance and classic proportions that riders expect, while adding LED lighting, refined bodywork, and new colour options to keep it fresh without losing its identity.

Comfort is clearly a priority, with a plush one-piece seat, wide handlebars, and relaxed ergonomics — ideal for long rides or daily commuting alike. The instrument cluster blends analogue charm with digital readouts for fuel level, gear position, and trip information, combining nostalgia with essential connectivity.

Twin-Cylinder Powerhouse

The biggest transformation for the Bullet is its heart: a 648 cc parallel-twin engine shared with Royal Enfield’s other 650 lineup, including the Interceptor and Classic 650. This air- and oil-cooled engine produces around 46–47 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of torque at 5,650 rpm, paired to a smooth 6-speed gearbox with a slipper-assist clutch.

This shift from traditional single-cylinder engines to a modern twin gives the Bullet 650 vastly improved refinement, acceleration, and dual-highway capability, making it a much more versatile machine than its predecessors.

Underneath: Frame, Suspension & Brakes

Beneath its classic sheetmetal sits a steel tubular spine frame that provides stability across varied road conditions. The suspension setup includes 43 mm telescopic front forks with 120 mm travel and twin rear shock absorbers with 90 mm travel, delivering a comfortable and controlled ride.

Wire-spoked wheels — a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear — uphold the traditional aesthetic, while dual-disc brakes with dual-channel ABS ensure confident and safe stopping power.

Practicality for the Real World

The Bullet 650 isn’t just about looks and power — it’s also built for real-world usability. With a 14.8-litre fuel tank, it promises long touring range, and the 800 mm seat height keeps it accessible to a wide range of riders. Kerb weight is around 243 kg, giving the motorcycle a planted feel on highways without compromising stability.

Features like a USB Type-C charging port, semi-digital instrumentation, and modern lighting systems add convenience for today’s riders while respecting the bike’s timeless roots.

Launch and Price Outlook

While Royal Enfield hasn’t announced an official India launch date yet, the Bullet 650 is expected to arrive in the Indian market in early 2026. Estimates from industry sources suggest the ex-showroom price could be in the ₹3.4 lakh to ₹3.7 lakh range, positioning the Bullet 650 competitively in the mid-capacity segment.
